Do you Grocery Game?
Or perhaps, if you live in Utah, you follow the Grocery Guru?
My question from all you coupon cutters out there... is how do you do what you do? And does it work? And most of all, is it worth my time?
Just thinking about being that lady at the store with her envelope overflowing with coupons makes me shudder, but goodnight... things are getting way to expensive to not at least consider becoming her. And wow, that was quite the runonsentence.
So, please help me. Tell me what you do to save money. Whether you cut coupons, buy in bulk, shop at Reams or Wal-Mart... whatever. What works for you?

Sheli girl, the best way to save money is to make more money, then you can spend more money. Dont do the coupon thing - you were raised better than that :)
See you in a couple weeks.
We shop at Wal-Mart and your husband regularly chastises us for shopping at a place that puts people out of business. It wouldn't matter how cheap it was, John probably wouldn't let you shop there.
No advice here...i have never used coupons for grocery shopping. We are terrible, we eat out most meals. I keep making it a goal to eat out less but it hasn't really worked so far! Good luck :)
seriously - how expensive are things getting!?! it is so annoying. but i do all our shopping at walmart - which i have always hated walmart - but it is the cheapest. as far as coupons go - the thought makes me shudder as well. but i do believe that it works. albertsons does a 10 for 10 sale. 10 items for 10 dollars and i have "tried" to do it before and have saved half of what i would have spent by doing it. but there were women in front of my with coupons that were saving hundreds of dollars. it was crazy.
also - my mom joined this grocery thing when i was younger. she got a packet in the mail i think 1x a month and it listed all the different grocery stores and all the sales that were going on at each. she would spend all day saturday morning shopping and saved a ton! i will ask her how to find out more.
maybe we could take on the challenge together - talk about it - and make us feel good about spending the hard working money that our men bring home!
Pleeeeeeease don't do the coupon thing! Guess who always gets stuck behind the "coupon lady" at the grocery store? ME! Unless coupons save me at least $20, I ain't gonna use them. I'll pay the extra 30 cents for a box of cereal ;) I however, am all about mail in rebates!! And as much as I DESPISE Walmart, I do all my grocery shopping there because they're cheap! If you shop at Albertsons or Smiths, get their fresh values cards, or whatever they're called. They're free to sign up for, and they will save ya a couple bucks.
I do the coupon thing most of the time and save a lot of money. Also the really good thing about walmart is that they match other store ads..so if you really want to save money watch all ads and go to walmart. Separate your stuff in the cart for each store and as the cashier is ringing stuff up just tell them/or show them the price from the ad and they change it. Really nice way to save money. I also plan my meals around what is on sale at the stores so I'm usually only buying what is on sale. And by the way cute blog :) Sorry for blog spying but I like to see and get to know those in our ward that I never really get a chance to talk to. :)
Yeah Michele, you found us in this blogger world. Your blog is so cute and Boston is just darling. I just want to squeeze those cheeks. I hate to admit it, but I really have learned more about my neighbors through their blogs.
Anyways, I'm no coupon queen, but I do like to coupon. I get a variety of things for very cheap or free using coupons. Like Amy, I really only stick to the sales and then when you use a coupon, you get even a better deal. It's really turned into a hobby for me. Lame hobby, but I like it. I'd love to show you how it works for me. Just give me a call anytime. Boston can come play with my girls and I'll show you my tricks.

You can use these for ANY of the baby foods that you want, they dont have to be "orgainc or 2nd or 3rd".
There are TONS more if you google "BOGO Gerber coupons"
2) About the vacuum, Josh ended up finding the reason it wasnt working and FIXED it! But any advice, hmmm.. maybe just to buy whatever one you want from Costco, that way if it EVER breaks, you can return it. And they do have the Dyson right now, if you are into that one.
I use to be one of those obsesive coupon women. It was nice to save money however I found I was buying things just because I had a coupon and not becuase I needed it. I found looking through the coupons and only cutting the ones I know I would use works for me saving a few dollars here and their does add up. I use to think it was a waste of time, but it does pay off. I don't recommmend cutting out every coupon I think it's a waste of time, I did it for a couple of months and realized thier was no need. Planning a week of meals at a time has seemed to help me budget my spending at the grocery store!! However good luck it's a strugle most of us deal with!!
