To celebrate turning 8 months old, Boston and I baked a cake. Then daddy and me proceeded to eat it all. Boston did like to lick the beaters. He is his mothers son...

What he is up to at this age? Well, much of the same, except he waived "bye-bye" the other day, and says "ma ma". He doesn't know what he is saying, but I'll pretend he loves me more because of it. But anyone who knows anything knows daddy is still his favorite. Hey, I'll take what I can get.
What IS NOT happening around here, is much rolling (except on rare occasion). When he gets tired of being on his tummy, he just happily does this -

So crawling is out of the question also. What else is not happening... sleeping thats what. He has decided that 2 middle of the night feedings suit him just fine. What the h-e-l-l?
So he has a very tired mother, and he all of the sudden lost interest in baby food, but this little man is still the King of our household. He is cute as can be, as laid back as they come, and has 2 smitten parents. 8 months is the new 6 months, didn't you know?
And what, might I ask, do you suggest I do with THAT HAIR??

Absolutely Nothing!! You shouldn't do a thing to his hair! Take advantage with the fact that he at least has some! :)
I think it is so funny...our babies are so opposite, even though they are so close in age. Kaylee rolls everywhere and scoots everywhere, but refuses to try and sit. No real mama's or dada's...but she discovering her voice. It is just amazing how different babies can be! However...I can relate to the getting up more than once a night! It drives me crazy! But it makes me feel like I have a normal baby if other mom's are dealing with the same thing! :) So thanks for making me feel better!

Ha ha, I love his hair. It looks so cute on him. But really anything could look cute on that little Boston of yours. :) And I hear you bout the being lazy and not wanting to crawl. Ryken took forever to crawl. And walk too. SO it is very true how every baby is different. And I am so sorry bout the not sleeping thing. I can't help with that. I wish I had some tips. But I am sure he is worth all the sleepless nights. :)
i was hoping now that spencer is finally sleeping through the night fairly regularly that we were good to go, but after reading this post i'm not so sure. anyway, he is adorable and i love that paint choice!
Oh my goodness, I just love his chubby little cheeks! I love the look on his face in the second to last picture too! So cute!
As far as his hair goes, if he was a girl I could help you out on that, but Melissa and Jana might be better at giving advice for little boys!
That cake batter looks delicious...it makes me wanna make some right now just so I can lick the beaters...
And that picture of him laying down on his tummy is adorable...but is he laying where I think he is?? Right in front of the fireplace where that ridiculously ginormous spider crawled out and tried to kill us all??...I am scared it is gonna get Boston...
Don't do a thing to the hair! I think it looks adorable! What a cute little boy you guys have there!
Like Melissa said don't do anything with his hair. It is so adorable. Don't you just love it when you think you have something figured out like the whole baby food thing and then they decide the don't want anything to do with it. Ashlynn did the same thing for about two weeks, she had four teeth come in and then decided she like to eat again. So you never know. Good luck!
So beautiful! What a sweet boy! He's fantastic and I love the hair. How is your new business going?
Re: Teaching teenagers sunday school... be yourself! You're great! The truth is that they'll teach you more than you could ever teach them. You'll remember the special things about each one for many many years.
