case of the mondays

Monday was one of those days...

when your newborn kept you up half the night...
and your toddler decides to wake up an hour earlier than usual...
when you realize that round 6 of mastitis is setting in. SIX, PEOPLE!!!
when you open the fridge to find one half gallon of your Winder milk has leaked to every shelf and crevice because of a crack on the bottom
when you're too tired to clean it up, so you just shut the fridge instead
when your 1 year old finds a can of coke and throws it across the kitchen floor
and you're too tired to clean that up also
when your sons life flashes before your eyes when he dives down the stairs
and you catch him halfway down, after one full flip, and he lands on the baby already in your arms (this was very dramatic, tears all around)
when you forgot your husband has a basketball game that night and won't be coming home at all until 7:45 pm
when your fever gets up to 102.4 and you feel like dying
when your son and daughter could care less that you feel like ____
when you wish your mom and sisters lived next door
when all this happens before 2 pm, and you wonder if you will survive the day

but, with the bad, always comes the good

because your baby slept most of the day
and your son just destroyed a couple rolls of toilet paper while you took a hot bath (very minor damage)
and the husbands game was forfeited and he came home earlier than expected
and your fever breaks a little by bedtime
and your husband luckily has the next 2 days off for you to recover
and he makes dinner
and he takes care of all the babies (you included)
and you remember that your fifth installment of this infection was actually much, much, worse
and your husband gives you a blessing
and actually, when you get into bed that night, your still thankful for your blessings, because you have a lot.

or you could just be a little delusional by this point.

I'm sorry you had a bad day! It seems like mommies can't ever be sick because we have to take care of everyone else! I'm glad the day turned out better and you were able to get some rest!
Seriously, let me know if you need anything!

Hi,

Wow and I impressed with you!! I can hardly keep up with Audrey and am so tired by the end of the day I can't even imagine having a newborn as well. You are a VERY good woman. I'm glad you said hi, it would be fun to get Boston and Audrey together for a play date. I'm sure you have your hands full for awhile but let me know when things slow down and we can go to lunch or the park or something. :)

Take care!!

Congratulations on the new little one.
Pineapple: one whole can whatever texture you like: chunks, crushed or whatever and drink the juice too: CURES Mastitis guaranteed within 72 hours and you should feel relief in less than 12 hours. I hope you aren't allergic to it.

You can also eat the fresh fruit but I think that Dole tastes best of all the rest and I have tried them all: don't skimp on this one. Pineapples are really hard to pick ripe and good to eat so just go with the canned stuff, it works just as well.

Man girl! Monday was nuts for you wasn't it! Isn't it wonderful to know that you aren't alone. I don't know about you, but that always brings me comfort to know that all moms can relate to these kind of days and it's not just me. I hope the rest of this week has been better for you!
