same time, new place next year?

Our girls trip to Denver was a blast! We stayed at the coolest hotel in downtown Denver, right around the corner from the famous 16th Street Mall. When we arrived to our joining rooms, there were gorgeous bouquets from my dad that had gift certificates to the spa for us. It was such a wonderful few days. Traveling with only Naomi was such a breeze. She is seriously the easiest baby when you can devote all your time to her. I saw a whole new side of her! I missed my boys back at home, but I knew they were enjoying their time together as well.
We were a sight to be seen apparently. We were stared at and we caught a few people talking about us. I guess 4 women with 2 babies and 1 toddler is quite unusual...?? Naomi always attracts attention, so that was nothing new, but people looked at us like we were crazy for having all these children! We would laugh about it... because obviously they don't even know there are 2 kids we left behind!
We spent a lot of time in our hotel, which was awesome. We watched movies, ordered room service, and stayed up way too late talking. We all had spa appointments and had reservations for High Tea. We divided up a lot because of the kids so we never actually got a picture of all 4 of us, which is such a bummer. I thought I would take tons of pictures, but in the end it was such a laid back vacation that I never felt like getting out my camera. I regret it a little now, but it was nice to just enjoy the time and not feel like everything was a photo-op. We did however take a lot of pictures of the babies. Madden is 2 months and Naomi is 5 months and they are the same size, and Madden isn't even small for his age. Naomi is just miniature. They look like they would be the same age, except Madden just lays there like a newborn and Naomi is staring at him and trying to roll on top of him and sucking on all his limbs.
I think Naomi liked this life of luxury. A queen bed, down comforters, no bedtime, being an only child, 2 aunts and a grandma to make her laugh all day. She could have gotten used to this...
Did I mention our hotel was awesome. It was. We even saw a celebrity staying there. Donnie Whalberg of New Kids on the Block got off the elevator before we got on. (What happened to BOOMTOWN? ha ha)

Some things I wish I had taken pictures of:
Billy, the first response guy who showed up when Alex fell and got a concussion
The firemen who showed up after we called 911
The ambulance who took Summer and Alex to the hospital
Donnie Whalberg
My mom with her 3 grandkids
Me and Tif with our 2 babies
Me and Naomi on our first mother/daughter trip
ALL 4 of us!

Some things I'll laugh about everytime I remember them:
Explaining what Munchausens Syndrome is and why this certain someone we know has it
Summer saying "she's like a magician!"

Thank you mom. You are the BEST at planning this stuff and it would NEVER happen without you. I had so much FUN, and got all the rest I needed to come home to my boys and get back to normal life. I love you.

You forgot another thing you will always laugh about...Billy being your masseuse and snuggling a teddy bear up next to you during your massage, lol :)
thanks for posting all the most unflattering pics of me...you just reminded me how much more baby weight I have to lose and motivated me to work out harder :)

oh yeah, and Madden says he's gonna start working out with me too...so he can build some muscle and beat Naomi up next time he sees her, instead of him being the one on the recieving end of all the punches ;)

We did miss a few photo ops - but I retained all the good times in my mind Glad we were all able to get together and just enjoy each others company - it was wonderful!

Looks like such a fun trip! You inspired me to do a girls trip with my mom and sisters.
And I need to see Naomi again, she is getting so big!

I had the hardest time finding paper lanterns as well so I actually ended up buying them online. I bought some on partylights.com and some others on asianimportstoreinc.com. Good luck they look so cute but are definitly some work! I am so impressed by you and taking care of the two little ones. Audrey is a handful let alone another one!! Good job!
