1. Pick up take out on the way there, and just buy treats at the fair. Funnel Cake and Cotton Candy can't be missed.

2. Don't buy a corn dog without looking at the price first. It just might cost $6.
3. Don't act surprised when your husband shoots some basketballs and wins a giant ball. He will probably be offended if you are shocked.

4. Do pick the ball that has your sons name on it. It is better than the one that says UTAH.
5. Don't pay a dollar to see the "Little Lina, the smallest girl in the world". She is just a midget from Haiti. You will be disappointed if you are expecting a girl who fits in the palm of you hand like they describe. And you will feel ashamed after.

6. Don't plan on riding any of the rides, unless you have a death wish.

7. Do plan on being creeped out by the carni's running those rides.
8. If you were hoping to smell fresh cotton candy - you will learn that the dominating scent at the Fair is cigarette smoke and manure.
9. Plan on bringing lots of cash, and leaving with none.
10. Expect the booths selling crap to look less like America and more like Mexico.

11. Plan on parking half a mile away.

12. Act REALLY impressed when your husband shoots some more free throws to win you a bottle of water.
13. Definitely put a false address on the card you have to fill out in order to shoot those free throws.
14. Feel really sorry for whoever currently resides in John's childhood home in Littleton, who will undoubtedly receive a lot of junk mail.

15. Have a really awesome saturday night, even though the State Fair is the most PWT place on planet earth.

Thanks for sharing...we are headed there tonight and this information will be handy to have!
I really hate the smell of the fair...especially those dirty sheep. Eww!
We were totally at the fair Saturday night too. Too bad we didnt see you guys, we must of been too distracted by all the other people if you know what im saying :)
Michele your camera takes amazing pictures. So clear & beautiful. It doesn't hurt when the faces in the pictures are beauties themselves. I also love your PWT comment. We tend to avoid the carnival, here anyways it seems to be a nasty money pit of danger. I would say a state fair would fare better :):) Less chance perhaps of dying or spending a gazillion dollars to get food poisoning :) I so enjoy your posts, keep them coming. Have a great week :) Marianne
Excuse the comment from a random person. I found your blog from Ashley and David's. Your family is adorable! My husband and I just went to the Idaho State Fair. Similar experience. And ditto about your camera taking lovely pictures.
I would have to agree with those comments. We just went to the fair and I would have to add, Do wash your hands after touching the goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens and cows. We should have all gone together Crew would have loved having a buddy with him.

I like the huge ball that says BOSTON on it! Let me guess...John was super excited to go home and hang it up in Boston's sports themed bedroom...?
Your pictures are looking fabulous! Looks like you all had a fun weekend.
Awesome! I was laughing the whole time! Ya gotta love State fairs!! I'm still just laughing about "Little Lina, the smallest girl in the world"! Classic!
I LOVE your pictures, Michele. Do you have one of those fancy cameras with the cool lenses? Is that why all your pictures look perfect? I'd love to know what you have so I can put it on my someday list. :) Thanks!
Oh, and your babies are beautiful. Really.
