We are thinking of finishing the basement. It's funny how a simple conversation can end with John and his brain can think of other things, but not mine. Ever since I have been envisioning what it would look like, how I would decorate it, paint colors etc. The playroom that the bottom of the stairs would open up into has taken over my thoughts.

Sounds like a fun project! I think having a play room for kids would be fabulous - especially tucked away downstairs so you had way less pressure to keep it picked up and cleaned constantly.
i day dream about decorating my house the way i want, the basement will be a dream come 5 years from now. hmmmm.... well, if you finish yours i can dream about yours and of course steal your decor ideas. because they are always adorable!
jealous. I want a playroom for my kids someday. you guys should totally get to work on it. just do it. build it. burn it.
we are going to finish our storage room in january. i have been dreaming up a few ideas as well....BUT when it comes down to it i am sure we'll keep it pretty basic. BORING.
