After a devastating failed adoption, 2 miracles entered our lives, Kristina and Naomi. February was a month of answered prayers.

March
I began learning how to juggle my 2 kids 1 and under. It was hard, but pretty fun too. We took a long trip to California to hang with my sister and her kids and my parents.

April
This was a rough month for us, Boston broke his arm for the first time and Naomi had to have her surgery at Primary's. I wouldn't want to relive these 4 weeks. I think this is when I began questioning my ability to be a mother to 2. I have several pictures of Boston feeding himself whatever he can reach in the pantry - proof it was a hard enough that I would forget to feed my child.
May
I celebrated my 24th birthday and Mother's Day with John and the kids at the cabin in Bear Lake. My nephew was also born and we took a fun trip to AZ to meet him.
June
John and I celebrated our 4th anniversary by leaving the kids for the first time and going to Oregon. It was such a fun trip for us. It was good to know we still liked each other after some hectic months.
July
This month was spent mostly in the backyard with the hose and drinking capri suns. I took a girls trip with Naomi to Denver to meet up with my mom and sisters. I also took at record number of pictures in July, 422 to be exact.
August
Naomi's adoption was finalized and she was sealed to us in the Salt Lake Temple. Other than my wedding day, and the birth of our 2 kids, this was the best month/experience of my life. We also took a fun trip to California again.
September
This was a low key month that still felt busy... went to the State Fair, the Circus, had pictures taken of all 19 grandkids on John's side, canned peaches, made freezer jam, started an intense scripture reading challenge, and signed up to volunteer with a non-profit. Whew, it was a crazy month after all.
October
John and I went to Jacksonville for the Grease Monkey Convention, left the kids with my mom and had a great time. I started training for my 5k. John worked long and hard on the kids Halloween costumes. Boston wanted dad to take him on the 4 wheeler every evening when he got home. We had our first snow, and my new niece Avery was born!
November
John celebrated (sort of) his 30th birthday, the refinery down the street exploded, we went back to Bear Lake with friends, went to the aquarium, and John took a trip to Green Bay to get spoiled and watch the Packers play from some fancy suite or something. Man, he has it so rough. I ran my first 5k and we celebrated Thanksgiving with John's family.
December
I tried to make December a low key month for us. I hate that the holiday season becomes so hectic it isn't enjoyable. I have hardly any pictures from December, besides our Minnesota trip, which proves we stayed home a lot. Instead of neighbor gifts, I donated money to a charity, and instead of stressing over the perfect Christmas card, I made our own. We kept gift giving to a minimum and didn't do any fancy dinners or parties other than the ward party and John's family party. I think it was awesome, and I think we will do December like this every year. If you think I'm a scrooge, you would be wrong, I just think the holidays should be about real things that matter. And I HATE the tradition of Santa Claus, but don't get me started...

Until next year!
