Our first visitors

A few weeks after moving in, my mom, dad and Landon came out for a visit. We always have a great time when they come, even though the kids are always on their worst behavior.

We made the most of their 3 days here by going to the Zoo on a really hot day...

Getting good use out of the best investment we made this summer - the Banzai Pool/Slide. Seriously, go to Wal-Mart and buy one. So worth it.

And taking the kids to see their first movie ever in "the feater". We saw Cars 2. I don't really recommend it. Taking a 2 and 3 year old to the theater, or seeing Cars 2.

My parents left the day before the 4th of July, so we bought some fireworks to do in our front yard. The kids loved them. We loved the aerials that are legal now, we should have bought more of those and less of the little ones. Boston didn't love the really loud ones, and both kids freaked when Grandpa "ran through the fire!". Boston scolded him when he did it, reminding him that he would get burned. That's right... you tell him Boss.

I think we wore my parents out. Having them here always means treats and entertainment around the clock, so it tends to bring out the kids naughtiest behavior. We were sad to see them go, but I was ready to lay the smack down with the kids.
