having a baby

a good excuse to stay home - all day - in pajamas. little smiles, just for me. the tiniest signs that she is growing, evident only to someone who spends 24/7 with her. kisses on her cheeks, her fingers, her tummy. the smell her head and her neck. finding spit up all over my shoulder after answering the door when I didn't know it was there. feeling so tired, but staying up late watching shows with John anyway. cheering for gas passed, bowel movements, and big burps. baby talk. nursing a baby to sleep. her squeezing my finger while she eats. fussing that goes away as soon as she is snuggled. hearing snorting and tooting from her bassinet across the room. getting "kissed" on my cheeks when she is looking for food.

nothing, absolutely nothing else I would rather be doing.

I've been having some serious baby with drawls lately and this did NOT help. You have a beautiful family!
