Had my 37 week appt today. Finally, I am dilated! I can't tell you the relief!
Here is where we are at:
2 cm dilated.
80% effaced.
Head down, +1 Station
So the latest was that I would be induced on Jan 28th. Now I will be induced on Jan 23rd! This means we start our real countdown. I can't believe he will be here in less than 2 weeks.
I had 2 baby showers on Saturday. I had one with my friends in the ward, and it was so nice. So many people came and I got some really great gifts. Then, it was off to my mother in laws for my family and friends shower. It was so much fun and people were so generous. We really ended up getting all that was left that we needed and then some! After returning a few things that were duplicates, we really scored with a shopping spree at Target and Babies r Us with gift cards! My favorite thing I bought was newborn diapers. I almost died when I saw how tiny they were!
It seems surreal, to think that soon there will be a baby in this house. I can't wait. It's such an exciting way to start off the new year.

i am so sad that i missed your shower! with my mother-in-law in town it was too hard to get away.
my sister-in-law is preg and being induced on the 6th of feb, so i was looking at all her baby stuff, newborn diapers included and i was shocked all over again!
so i am finally getting through this crappy first trimester. i have been so sick and tired and havn't been able to do everything i would like to get out and do - for instense see you. i think i have talked with you about it... oh... 10 times, but never actually followed through. you remember the first trimester right? ugh!
anyways - i am going to call you, not text, and pick a for reals day. take me seriously please!!!!

I can't wait Shell! And I'll let you know as soon as Greg has a wedding date set since that's when I'll be meeting your sweet little baby boy. If he gets married in March Paul will still be in school and so we'll probably leave the kids here with friends for one night. Paul will be out and back in 24 hours but I'll stay for 48 hours so I can spend a day with you and baby "B." Ok so one day isn't much but it's one whole day without my kids and with nowhere else to be so I can hold him as long as I want!!!
I am so excited for you! there is NOTHING better than a sweet, new baby to love and kiss. you are going to love being a mom. good luck with delivery- you will be great! I am excited to see pictures!
ps no... do not drink any funky concoctions like castor oil. I learned the hard way- trust me :)
