We had such a good time all week. It was weird to hang out with my sister and her kids with my own kid. I have always loved Noah and Alex like they were my own, and now they are Bostons cousins... strange. They loved to make Boston smile and any reaction he gave them would make them say "he likes me!"

While I was there, Summer wanted to go out and do some shopping for her house. It's always more fun when you can go with someone who can give you input, especially when you get to go without your kids. We did really well. We decorated her main living area with drapes and pillows and artwork, and framed and hung some pictures she had for the kids room. My mom is going out next week to help her put the kids room all together, but we decided to get a head start and buy their new bunk bed and PUT IT TOGETHER OURSELVES! Such is life when your husband is a Resident Intern. I could write a whole post just about that experience, but I'll spare you the details. Let's just say it took 2 trips to ShopKo for new parts, lessons on how to operate a drill via picture messaging with John, more than one slip of profanity, 4 LARGE cookies, 6 diet cokes, and 12 hours.

This is what we looked like at 3:30 AM, with our diet cokes and drill in hand, with our finished product in the backround. We are proud of ourselves, and you should be too.

The next morning, after 3 hours of sleep, Boston and I flew home. It was such a fun trip even though Boston was homesick, and dad missed us a lot.
Summer, thanks for your hospitality. Thanks for all the good food, long talks, no sleep, good company, and hard laughs. We miss you already!

Glad you guys had such a fun time together! :) I just left a comment on Sumy's blog saying that that picture of all the cousins together makes me want to break our "not-living-too-close-to-eachother" rule cuz I want our kids to all grow up together. :) I'm glad you got to help her decorate her house! You guys did a great job, cuz it looks awesome! I need to start saving money now so I can make it out there to visit them next...
love ya sista!
(p.s. I can't believe you said a profane word when you built that bunk bed...I would never slip and do such a thing...)
Tiff-
News flash.....they learned profanity from you.
I am so jealous you were in Minnesota! My parents are in you sister's stake now that they moved!
