Boston is well over the weight limit for his infant seat, so it was time to upgrade to a convertible. So off to Babies R Us we went with our 15% off coupon in hand.
We got the schpeel about the $300 Britax, thought it all sounded great, but couldn't swallow the price. We felt a little bit like bad parents... Evenflo was next in line in safety features, and less than half the cost. We were sold.
And the baby likes it just fine after all.
Can I just encourage everyone I know to shop at Babies R Us? Seriously, I used my 15% off coupon, and then they offered me a coupon from Evenflo that gave me a $25 Chevron gas card. Not lame cheap gas that can only be used at certain stations in random cities only during the hours of midnight to 4am, but a Chevron card to be used anywhere, anytime. After both coupons I got this car seat for almost 50% off.
Also, after our trip to Disneyland when Boss was 10 weeks, our travel system broke. BROKE and it was practically new. I called Babies R Us, prepared to make a big fuss about how "I only bought it a few months ago but didn't have my reciept, but how they should do something about it" etc... etc...(I'm really good at this by the way) To my surprise, they said to just bring it in and they would replace it. No questions asked, no receipt, nothing. They just gave me a brand new one out of the box and I left my broken one there. Piece of cake. So easy. Shop there, I tell you.

and they have a twin discount (on big stuff), and they exchange out your old nasty bottles, for BPA free ones.
Thats true Jacquie got discounts on her twin stroller, car seat and play pins..
Does Boston have gel in his hair? He is so darn cute and I love how he enjoys you taking pictures of him.
So I am going to Babies R Us tomorrow (with my 15% discount coupon of course) and I now have high expectations for them. Oh and I don't know how many times I have said it but Boston is adorable and I love the hair, best fau-hawk (sp???) I have seen on a little boy by far!

I cant believe he is big enough for a forward facing! That must have been an exciting day for him. Grace cannot wait to see the world from the car the way we do.

i think we have that same carseat for jack... but diff colors ... and we call it his throne. it is awesome. it is a little giant compared to other carseats - but he is comfortable in it - so i am happy.
we also looked at that britax but just couldn't throw out 300.00 ... that could buy a whole lot of other things that were very much needed!
I love Boston's hair in these pictures! And I love the new big boy carseat! I cannot believe how big he is getting! We are so excited to see you guys at Christmas in a few more months! :)
