If I had taken pictures lately

Life has been busy lately, too busy for me to take out my camera much.

If I had taken some pictures lately, this is what they might be of...

Me, up to my elbows in paperwork. It goes like this 1) read form 2) sign form 3) make copy of form 4) repeat steps 1 through 3 a million times.

Me, having a mild nervous breakdown, and trying to coach John on how to talk me through it.

John and I getting in a fight about $5 spent at Wendys. Ya, this happened and I think it's safe to say I have been a little crazy lately.

Speaking of crazy, I could have taken a picture of John and I registering to vote - and me making a complete fool of myself in front of the county clerk. We handed her our forms, then she told us that we would get something in the mail telling us how and where to vote. Then I say to John, "I wasn't listening, were you listening?" She looked at me like I was an idiot. I am. Then as we left and John is laughing at me, I say "so we will get something in mail that tells us where to go on voter day?" VOTER DAY? What is wrong with me?

I could have, but didn't, take any pictures of me having a string of bad hair/face/body days. Those are the worst. I should have taken a picture of John bringing me home French Silk Pie to help me feel better about myself. Then I would have taken a picture of me eating it in the bathtub - but no one wants to see that...

I could have taken some pictures of me going to kick boxing, but a video would be better, or at least more embarrassing. Who knew I was so uncoordinated?

And then the weather got really cold all of the sudden, and we had to break out a new wardrobe of winter clothes for Boss. He liked trying them all on. Really, he thought having the tags still attached was a fun new accessory. We thought he was handsome... oh, but I did take some pictures of that.

It sounds like life has been nice and crazy for you lately. But it sounds like you have a good, supportive husband. That always helps a ton. I loved the part about eating in the bath tub. That's great!

I suck at Kick-boxing, or any of those dance, step, group follow the leader classes for that matter. Glad to know there are other non-coordinated people out there :) And, Boston looks great in his winter duds.

love,
Marissa

P.S. I would love to get together for lunch or something and talk to you about our adoption experience. I have been where you are right now and it is a hard place. BUT the blessings are wonderful. I think it helps to hear other peoples stories and know that you are not alone. Hang in there!
Love, Kim

looks like we handle stress the same way, glad to know i'm not the only one with treats and tears in the tub :) about double strollers...they all kinda stink. I have 4 and not a single one is that magical. I think the graco quattro duo is a pretty good one and not too expensive (the one I had a gardner village). I sort of like my combi side by side but wish i would of payed more and got a maclaren side by side. You will see double strollers are huge and annoying, you will be hitting peoples ankles and knocking things over left and right. Let me know what you find in your research maybe you will find the perfect all in one stroller for me too.

I know how those crazy days go, I have seemed to have a lot of those lately too! But you are an awesome mom, you can just see how much Boston loves you! Keep it up!
