a couple weeks ago...

We surprised my sister Tiffany by showing up in Arizona for her baby's blessing 2 weeks ago. It was going to be a very quick weekend, but Naomi and I stayed a few extra days to help my sister and my mom pack up her house so they could move to Chicago a few days later. So John and Boston and me and Naomi spent the first 24 hours there together, and then the boys flew home. Madden's blessing was beautiful, and I was so glad we made it there to meet him! He is definitely a cutie... and at 3 weeks old was not too much smaller than my 4 month old. What!?

We hung out at the awesome resort we stayed at after Madden's blessing. It was really really hot, but Boss swam in his shorts and ordered smoothies off the menu.

It was a fun couple days. Now Tif and Randy are settling in Chicago and it was good to be able to spend time with them before they moved so far away.
Can't wait for our sister's weekend in July!

The weekend in Az was great. But now that Tiff and Randy have left, I will need to find another reason to go there....for some reason I feel drawn to that place every year, like around Oct / Nov. If Tiff thinks I'm coming to Chicago to visit as often as I did when she lived in Az she's crazy.

I've decided it's just not fair when sisters can't live close to each other.

WHAT!? Dad!! I love Az too, but so far Chicago is pretty damn cool...I think you would like it here more than you realize. So you better come visit your grandson or he's not even gonna know who you are!
And thanks Shel, John, Boss, A=and Naomi for surprising us and making it out for Maddens blessing...Madden is lucky to have such awesome cousins and an awesome aunt and uncle!
Can't wait for Denver!!!!!!!
