our day started off great. we (me & the kids) ate breakfast in bed, then stayed in our PJ's for a few hours watching Curious George.
Then, it looked sunny outside, so we reluctantly dressed ourselves (really I did all the work) and went to play out back.
Boss was whiney (he woke up too early) so I started to play some soccer with him. He loves it and laughs hysterically when I run. It was his turn to kick the ball and with a running start he ended up landing his foot on the ball and face planted, (awesome).
He was crying too hard for too long and I know too well what it is like when he injures himself (i.e. breaks a bone). We came inside, did a full examination, and there it was, a swollen elbow, and Boss in so much pain.
Off to Tanner Clinic we go.
2 x-rays later, no fracture can be found, but it's clearly either sprained or the fracture is not showing on the x ray. (Dr says elbows can be tricky).
A splint and Snoopy sling it is.
What a bummer, and it's ridiculous that my son can't go more than a few months without a cast. It's almost inevitable that at some point the Dr's are going to start asking questions.

My only response would be that he has BAD LUCK or is a really uncoordinated 2 year old boy. Maybe it's both.
Hope your weekend starts off better than ours!

What a bummer! Poor little kid and mommy.
Poor Boston - I hope his bad luck has run out. The kid deserves a break from all these ER visits.
are you sure Naomi didn't break his arm? I mean, I wouldn't put it past her...she is like a sumo wrestler.
poor kid... has anyone mentioned his bone density?
Sorry Boss....bompa misses you
