Be prepared for plenty of photographs. I have been having a lot of fun with my new lens.

The beaches were completely empty, so we brought out one of Boston's soccer balls and let him take off. We were not so sure how he would feel about the water, but he was totally obsessed and LOVED it.
He loved it so much he had a meltdown whenever we had to reel him in from going out too far. He ended up going through 2 sets of clothes both times we went to the beach.
I love this picture of him in his car seat after playing in the sand and water.
Later that day, we went to the Garden City park and had a pretty good time. I had been playing with my camera settings and these pictures were all taken in black and white. Oops.
John took a picture of me after I climbed this big web thing. We had a lot of fun!
Then on Mother's day John made me cinnamon rolls and let me sleep in. We packed up the cabin and headed out for the day to go back to the beach and drive home that evening. Please ignore the fact that me and the kids are all in yellow. This was totally unintentional and John wouldn't stop giving me a hard time about not packing him a yellow shirt.
Day 2 at the beach started off with clothes, but Boss went straight to the water this time, so he was soon in just a onesie.
Then he discovered playing in the sand and he loved that too. I love that babies and toddlers find every new thing so fun and fascinating.
I know it looks like Naomi was hardly on this trip, but that is just because this is what she thought of the beach.... she slept. She was, I must say, a pretty dang good girl over the weekend. Hardly any crying - and pretty good at sleeping at night. I feel bad that I hardly took any pictures with her in them...
So, to sum it all up, I had a very special 2 days celebrating my birthday and Mother's Day. I won't even bother lying and saying it is easy at all being a mom to 2 babies one and under, but no doubt about it, it is worth it.
Have I ever told you how much I love these children?
