Last weekend Boston got
the croup again, and ended up in the ER. It was a rough 24-48 hours. To cheer him up and keep him happy, we gave him his big Christmas gift early. We knew we would have to give it to him anyway, since we are spending Christmas in Minnesota, and would not be packing the big gifts out there, so last Sunday was the day. John's mom has
this car at her house and he is so obsessed with it. I don't mean that he kind of likes it, I mean that he LOVES it and could ride it, eat on it, and watch t.v. while sitting on it all day long. We knew he would be so happy to have his own, but apparently we couldn't put it together fast enough and his excitement quickly turned to rage and frustration like only a 2 year old can do. Eventually it was ready to ride, and he pretty much hasn't stopped riding since.

What I wish I had caught on video is Boston taking off down the street on his car, steering with one hand and dragging a Tonka Dump Truck behind him. And he was going FAST! I had no time to put Naomi in the stroller, I just had to run to catch him about 6 houses down. When I caught him I asked him what he thought he was doing and he said, "mom, wanna ride?"
By far, the best money we have ever spent. Period.

funny video :) that bike looks fun! Where did you guys get it? I can't wait til Madden gets big enough to get excited about stuff like that! As excited as Boston gets over his new bike, is how excited Madden gets over breastfeeding...so I guess that makes christmas easy for us this year ;)
Great video!!!! I tried to envision him on his new bike when you told me about it the other day - but I can see now that I had no idea just how FAST he was on it. That is hilarious. You should let him zip through the airport terminals on that thing - just check it like a stroller. I bet it would make all that holiday travel wonderful - at least for Boston anyway, :) Can't wait to see you all at Christmas!

Great vid. LOVED hearing him talk, can't hardly believe it. That kid is going to be loving me and giving me kisses again in just a few weeks, just wait and see!
p.s. thought Naomi was in her walker in that video the whole time, right up until the last second and then I was trying to figure out where she went... just chalk that up to me being the mother of 8 kids this week.
That is one cool video.....we need to get one of those in Minnesota so we can watch him race up and down the halls at the hotel. I cant wait to see how fun it is for you guys when Boss gets his drivers license.

We got one of those bikes from Santa last year. I agree, BEST money every spent. Boston will love cruising down the street when the weather is warmer.
